Drug Running with the Hurd

From Wikipedia: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Hurd)

“On December 14, 2011 Hurd was arrested in Chicago for allegedly attempting to purchase and distribute large quantities of cocaine and marijuana and will be facing federal drug charges in North Texas. The case is being led and handled by ICE (Immigration Customs and Enforcement).[2]

Hurd was arrested by undercover agents outside of a steakhouse in Chicago. This investigation had actually been started back in July 2011, during the time the NFL lockout was in place, and while Hurd was still a member of the Dallas Cowboys. It was alledged accoring to the complaint filed in the case that Hurd had negotiated to pay $25,000 per kilogram for cocaine, and another $450 per pound for marijuana. Hurd was alledged to acknowledge that he was a player for the Chicago Bears, and would be getting out of practice at 5:30pm. It was then that Hurd is alledged to made arrangment for payment for the drugs. At this time, police believe that Hurd is connected to a group of dealers arrested in California in August of 2011, because a phone number traced to Hurd was found in the caller id of one of the dealers.

Hurd, who also runs a program called “Running with the Hurd” a program aimed at helping underprivledged young children, signed a three year contract in July of 2011 that pays him $685,000 in 2011, $865,000 in 2012, and $1 million in 2013.”

Watch how some will rally around him, and make excuses for him. Maybe in the same paragraph, and even same breath, these same people will criticize Tim Tebow for ruining football, and that he should “STFU!”
